ABOUT US

Who are we?

Geographic Innovations for Development Solutions, Inc. (GRIDS) is a Philippine-based geospatial services, planning consultancy, and capacity-building company. Founded in 2015, GRIDS has organized more than a hundred capacity-building activities about geographic information systems to more than 50 organizations across the Philippines and hundreds of individuals around the world.

Committed to help map better decisions, GRIDS combines innovation and quality to ensure that partner organizations are equipped with the right mapping skills and geospatial tools to help them make informed decisions. GRIDS also assists local and national government agencies in achieving development objectives through appropriate planning strategies and employment of geospatial tools to plan, execute, and monitor development projects and initiatives.

GRIDS ensures that partners are appreciated through the provision of necessary resources, training, and compensation. It also offers flexible and dynamic work arrangements to promote a balance between life and work. Through various nationwide projects, GRIDS provides exposure to the different regions which helps partners gain various perspectives about culture, development, and people.

GRIDS also creates opportunities for volunteerism among its partners. Through Mapping Better Futures, GRIDS partners with various organizations to promote geography and mapping to young children and high school students. The program helps educate students on how to use maps in support of their communities. Since 2017, hundreds of children from various regions have benefitted from the program, and more will benefit in the upcoming years.
